Our theme for this year’s gathering was inspired by a belief held by many Indigenous communities across North America. The Seven Generations Principle implores decision makers to consider the options and their impacts outside of just the current context when making decisions at the individual, family, and community levels. What would the seven generations before you have done, and how will your decision impact seven generations into the future?
